Suspected of deliberately provoking a yellow card during Bayern Munich’s crushing 6–1 victory away to Atalanta in the Champions League, Michael Olise and Joshua Kimmich will ultimately face no additional punishment from UEFA.

Bayern Munich can breathe a sigh of relief. UEFA Chooses Not to Open Disciplinary Proceedings

According to L’Équipe, UEFA’s disciplinary committee decided not to open a case against the two Bayern players. However, since the referee did not report any suspicious behavior in his match report, UEFA chose not to pursue the matter further. Kimmich and Olise will therefore miss the second leg — leaving Bayern surprisingly relaxed with a five-goal advantage. Clever, you might say.
