Things are heating up behind the scenes at PSG. While negotiations over a contract extension for Ousmane Dembélé continue to drag on, the player’s camp is already activating another option… Manchester City.
Dembélé is increasing the pressure on PSG as City enters the race. According to Sport, Moussa Sissoko, the agent of the Parisian winger, recently met with Hugo Viana, the sporting director of the Skyblues. The meeting is raising plenty of eyebrows as talks between Dembélé and PSG have currently stalled.
Dembélé’s future uncertain as Manchester City shows interest
Under contract until June 2027, the French international is reportedly demanding a significantly higher salary than the offer currently on the table from Paris. As a result, a major gap now separates the two sides.
For now, no official negotiations have been launched with Manchester City. However, this meeting strongly resembles an initial strategic contact, or even a message sent to PSG’s leadership to speed up the ongoing discussions.
One thing is certain: with 11 goals this season and a key role in PSG’s attack, Dembélé knows he remains highly sought-after across Europe. And if the situation continues to drag on, Manchester City could quickly decide to make a move.
