Aurélien Tchouaméni could be one of the key names in the upcoming transfer window. The Real Madrid midfielder is reportedly at the top of Manchester United’s list to replace Casemiro.
Could Real Madrid see its French contingent break apart? With Eduardo Camavinga targeted by PSG and Ferland Mendy pushed toward the exit, Aurélien Tchouaméni may also be on the move. At 26, in his prime, the French international remains a reliable asset, but his future could depend heavily on the club’s plans.
Midfield shake-up looming at top clubs
Behind the scenes, president Florentino Pérez is said to be dreaming of signing Rodri, a move that could completely reshape the squad. If Madrid makes a move for the Manchester City star, selling Tchouaméni—or even Camavinga—could become a real possibility, according to The Telegraph.
Manchester United is closely monitoring the situation and ready to act. The Red Devils’ priority is clear: replace Casemiro, who is expected to leave, with a dominant midfield leader. However, their ambitions go further, with plans to recruit at least two midfielders this summer, possibly three if Manuel Ugarte departs after struggling to settle in.
At the same time, other options are being explored. Elliot Anderson is highly rated, but his price tag of nearly €100 million is a deterrent. Sandro Tonali has also been considered, although that option is fading. As for Adam Wharton, he is seen as too similar to Kobbie Mainoo to provide the desired complement in midfield.
