Manchester City are already preparing their transfer window… and are looking toward Chelsea. According to The Athletic, the Manchester club is interested in Enzo Fernandez to strengthen their midfield.

Enzo Fernandez has been linked for weeks with PSG and clubs in Spain, but the Manchester City option is entirely new. After a strong season with 48 appearances and 12 goals in all competitions, the Argentine international ticks several boxes in the minds of City’s decision-makers. For now, however, the situation remains at an exploratory stage. Other profiles, such as Elliot Anderson, are also being considered in parallel.

A Complex Deal in the Making

The deal is expected to be complicated. Enzo Fernandez is under contract with Chelsea until 2032, and the Blues have no intention of letting one of their key players go cheaply. However, a window of opportunity could open after the World Cup, particularly in the event of tensions or disagreements with his club.
