LOSC have made their decision to replace Bruno Genesio! According to reports from Marca on Thursday, Davide Ancelotti is set to become the new head coach of Les Dogues.
Carlo Ancelotti is about to see his son take charge as a number one coach. And not at a small club either. Davide Ancelotti has reportedly finalized his move to Lille and is now preparing to begin his first major managerial adventure in Ligue 1.
Ancelotti Takes on a Major Challenge
The appointment is already raising eyebrows. Despite an impressive résumé as Carlo Ancelotti’s assistant at Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, Napoli, Everton, and with the Brazilian national team, Davide Ancelotti remains largely inexperienced as a head coach.
His only spell as a number one manager came at Botafogo between July and December 2025. His record there was considered mixed, with 12 wins, 9 draws, and 6 defeats.
In Lille, this bold gamble is already generating plenty of discussion among supporters. The club, which finished third in Ligue 1 last season, is clearly betting on the Ancelotti name and the Italian coach’s potential to launch an ambitious new era.
