According to Diario AS, Pedro Porro could become one of Manchester City’s biggest transfer targets this summer.
With Pep Guardiola leaving, Manchester City is entering a new era and preparing to rebuild parts of the squad. Despite Tottenham Hotspur’s difficult season, 26-year-old Spanish full-back Pedro Porro has continued his impressive rise and is now attracting interest from Europe’s top clubs.
After delivering strong performances in a squad heavily affected by injuries, coaching changes, and internal instability, Porro has reportedly been described by some sources in England as the only “elite” player in Tottenham’s current squad following Thomas Frank’s departure.
And the threat for Spurs is becoming very real. According to AS, Manchester City have already started making moves to sign the Spanish international even before the Club World Cup begins. Guardiola has been searching for a long-term solution at right-back for months, and Porro is now considered a top priority.

City have reportedly already contacted both the player’s representatives and Tottenham. The move is being led in part by Hugo Viana, City’s new sporting director, who knows Porro well from their time together at Sporting CP.
Tottenham are still trying to extend the defender’s contract, currently running until 2028, but talks are reportedly not progressing. Spurs are said to have set an asking price of £50 million, or more than €57 million, to let one of their key players leave this summer.
