Neymar will stay with the Seleção despite his injury and will serve as a mentor, leader, and experienced figure within the squad, even if he is unable to contribute on the pitch right away. In recent days, concerns about a possible withdrawal had grown, with some even suggesting that Carlo Ancelotti could call up a replacement for the number 10.

However, according to Fabrizio Romano, Brazil has made its decision: Neymar will neither be replaced nor sent home. The coaching staff believes he can still play a role during the tournament and prefers to keep him with the group.
