While the French national team is competing at the 2026 World Cup, Eduardo Camavinga has chosen a very different way to spend his summer. Left out of Didier Deschamps’ squad for the tournament, the Real Madrid midfielder attended a program this week at the prestigious Harvard Business School.
Eduardo Camavinga is already preparing for life beyond football. On Instagram, the French international shared several photos from his experience in the United States, where he is taking courses focused on the business of sports. “A few days of learning, listening, and growth. Grateful for this experience at Harvard Business School,” he wrote.
Camavinga Focuses on Education and the Future
The 23-year-old participated in a program dedicated to sports and entertainment. The initiative highlights his desire to prepare for the future while expanding his knowledge beyond the football pitch.
The most ironic part is that Harvard is located not far from the hotel where the French national team will be staying. Camavinga could theoretically visit some of his teammates if permitted, although the situation would certainly be unusual. Fans are already hoping for a photo of such a reunion.

It marks a productive break for Camavinga after a difficult season with Real Madrid. Despite earning 22 caps for France and being part of the squad that finished runner-up at the 2022 World Cup, the former Stade Rennais player was not included among the 26 French players selected for the 2026 tournament. Deschamps ultimately opted to strengthen his defense by calling up Maxence Lacroix, leaving Camavinga to enjoy a different summer focused on rest, reflection, and education at one of the world’s most renowned universities.
