Stade Malherbe Caen continues its reorganization and officially announced two major appointments for its future on Thursday. As expected, Mathieu Bodmer becomes the Norman club’s new director of football.
It is now official: Caen has unveiled its new strong duo. A former executive at Le Havre and a well-known figure in French football, Bodmer makes a symbolic return to his formative club, where he began his professional career before enjoying a fine run at the highest level.
A new sporting structure for Caen
At the same time, SMC confirmed the arrival of Nasser Larguet as vice-president in charge of the technical department. The experienced executive also returns to an environment he knows well after a notable first spell in Normandy.
With these two appointments, Caen is laying the foundations for its new sporting project. The club is banking on experience, knowledge of the game and attachment to the institution to revive its ambitions and build fresh momentum.
