Atlético Madrid have secured their new left-back. According to Fabrizio Romano, the Spanish club has reached a full agreement with Bayer Leverkusen and Alejandro Grimaldo, with the transfer now considered only a matter of time.
Alejandro Grimaldo is set to join Atlético Madrid after an outstanding spell at Bayer Leverkusen. The Spanish international is preparing to return to La Liga following his impressive performances in Germany, with all parties reportedly having finalized the remaining details of the deal.
Grimaldo Set for Atlético Madrid Move
The transfer fee is expected to be around €20 million, including bonuses. Atlético view the deal as excellent value for one of Europe’s top-performing left-backs.
Unless there is a dramatic late twist, Alejandro Grimaldo will become one of Atlético Madrid’s first signings of the summer transfer window. Diego Simeone will add a proven and experienced option on the left flank ahead of the new season.
