A former Brest goalkeeper between 2005 and 2010, when the club was competing in Ligue 2, Lachuer has an in-depth understanding of the institution. His extensive experience within the club convinced the board that he was the ideal candidate to succeed Éric Roy.
The appointment reflects Brest’s desire to maintain continuity after several successful years. Julien Lachuer now faces the significant challenge of building on Éric Roy’s legacy while preparing the team for the demands of the upcoming season.
