Sergio Conceição’s time at AC Milan is coming to an end. Appointed in December to replace Paulo Fonseca, the Portuguese coach has failed to turn the tide, and according to Fabrizio Romano, the club has decided to part ways with him at the end of the season, despite his contract running until June 2026.
Currently sitting 8th in Serie A, Milan’s hopes of European qualification are fading fast. Wednesday’s Coppa Italia final loss to Bologna (0-1) was the final blow. Conceição was unable to generate momentum or inspire consistent performances, leaving fans and club officials frustrated.
Time for a Fresh Start
AC Milan are already actively working on his replacement, with several profiles under consideration. The goal is clear: build a more stable, competitive project capable of returning the club to the top of Italian and European football.
Conceição’s chapter at the San Siro was brief—and ultimately, disappointing.
