When Luis Enrique took charge of Paris Saint-Germain in 2023, few imagined the success that would follow — including a Champions League triumph two years later.
But the Spanish coach has now revealed that his career path could have led elsewhere. “In the six months before I arrived in Paris, there were several possibilities, and Tottenham was one of them,” Enrique admitted on Tuesday, on the eve of PSG’s UEFA Super Cup clash with Spurs.
Back in 2023, Tottenham eventually turned to Ange Postecoglou, who departed this summer after guiding the London club to a Europa League title.
