Paris FC was the target of a shocking act of vandalism, as individuals attempted to set fire to the club’s training center.
Now competing in Ligue 1, Paris FC appears to be attracting increasingly dangerous behavior. According to Le Parisien, the club’s training facility in Orly (Val-de-Marne) was targeted in an attempted arson attack during the night from Saturday to Sunday. Two individuals were caught pouring gasoline on the gates before being chased away by a security guard.
Security Thwarts Dangerous Nighttime Attack
Still according to Le Parisien, the suspects did not have time to ignite the fire. Law enforcement was quickly alerted and responded promptly, but no arrests were made. An investigation for intentional damage using dangerous means has been opened by the Créteil prosecutor’s office.
Later that same night, a construction vehicle near the site was also damaged by fire, although no direct link to the initial incident has been confirmed at this stage. Contacted by Le Parisien, Paris FC management described the event as a failed act of vandalism, thwarted thanks to the vigilance of the security team. The club, which had already been targeted by acts of damage last September, stated it is cooperating with authorities to fully clarify the situation.
