Real Madrid are seriously considering selling Ferland Mendy… despite the Frenchman recently extending his deal until 2027.
Following the €50 million arrival of Álvaro Carreras from Benfica, Madrid are reshuffling at left-back. Expected to be a starter under Xabi Alonso, Carreras pushes Mendy down the pecking order. The club is actively looking for a buyer.
Mendy, frequently injured and no longer backed by former coach Carlo Ancelotti, has seen his stock drop. Madrid want €14 million for him, but European interest is minimal. For now, Saudi Arabia looks like the only realistic option.
30 million, done deal
The club may also offload Fran García. Younger, in better shape, and coming off a strong Club World Cup campaign, he’s attracting interest from AC Milan. Madrid could let him go for around €30 million. Still, the clear priority remains: find a way to move on from Mendy.
