It is now official: Pablo Longoria is no longer the president of Olympique de Marseille. The club announced this Saturday a major change in its leadership with the appointment of Alban Juster as Chairman of the Executive Board.
Pablo Longoria has been removed, and Alban Juster has been named interim president. Already part of OM for eight years, where he served as Director General of Finance & Compliance, Juster has been promoted internally.

However, this appointment remains temporary. The Supervisory Board clarified that this is an interim arrangement while the process of selecting a new president for next season is launched. The Executive Board now consists of Alban Juster, Alessandro Antonello, and Benjamin Arnaud, who was recently appointed as a member. The club stated that this reorganization ensures administrative, financial, and operational continuity.
Meanwhile, Medhi Benatia explained the reasons behind his return in an interview with Le Journal du Dimanche following his resignation. “For many reasons, I could not abandon the club under these circumstances. It is a club close to my heart, where I was trained. I had been reflecting on my departure for several weeks. I accepted the owner’s request to stay until the end of the season out of a sense of responsibility. There was no intrigue or power struggle,” Benatia said. According to the JDD, the former defender is not expected to continue next season, an outcome that comes as no surprise.
