Ousmane Dembélé is the clear frontrunner for the 2025 Ballon d’Or after a stunning season with PSG (35 goals, 16 assists) and a historic treble. The club has openly backed him, with vocal support from both Luis Enrique and Nasser Al-Khelaïfi.

But behind the scenes, the spotlight on Dembélé is reportedly causing some tension. According to L’Équipe, players like Gianluigi Donnarumma and João Neves haven’t fully appreciated a campaign too focused on the French winger, especially with nine PSG players nominated — a club record.
