Ousmane Dembélé’s early exit against Paris FC on Sunday night sparked major panic among PSG supporters. The Parisian forward felt discomfort in his right calf after less than 30 minutes and immediately raised fears of missing the Champions League final against Arsenal.
Paris Saint-Germain are not completely relaxed yet, but there is growing relief. One day after the injury scare involving Ousmane Dembélé, the French champions quickly tried to calm concerns. In an official statement released on Monday, PSG shared reassuring news about their attacking star.
PSG Reassure Fans Before Arsenal Clash
“Substituted as a precaution during last night’s match against Paris FC due to muscular discomfort in his right calf, Ousmane Dembélé will remain under treatment over the next few days,” PSG simply stated.
At this stage, there is no indication that he will miss the European final. Unless there is an unexpected setback, the French international is expected to be available for the showdown against Arsenal on May 30 in Budapest.
This is excellent news for Luis Enrique, who considers Dembélé one of the key figures in PSG’s European campaign this season. Less than two weeks before the biggest match of the year, Paris have likely avoided a nightmare scenario.
