As the Club World Cup final against Paris Saint-Germain looms, Chelsea are brimming with confidence. The Blues are determined to bring down “the best team in Europe” this Sunday at New York’s iconic MetLife Stadium (9pm CET).
Despite PSG’s incredible run — four trophies this season including a dominant Champions League win — Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca made it clear: his side won’t be showing up just to watch.
“PSG is probably the best team in the world right now. But we have our own style, our own ambition. We’ll do everything to disrupt them,” Maresca declared in the pre-match press conference.
Captain Reece James set the tone: “It’s a final. Stats don’t matter anymore. This will be a balanced clash between two young, top teams. We’re preparing to win.”
Ambitious and fired up, Chelsea intend to break PSG’s momentum and deny the Parisians a historic fifth title this season. One thing’s certain: the final promises to be electric — and PSG have been warned.
