The setback with Hakimi could trigger an unexpected move at PSG. According to L’Équipe, the capital club is seriously thinking about signing Eric Garcia, the Spanish defender… who will be free next summer.
With Hakimi out for several weeks after his injury against Bayern and a defense already weakened, Paris is exploring all options. The idea of the Barça player is very appealing internally.
Hakimi absent until February
Even better: PSG could attempt a deal as early as January, negotiating a small fee with Barcelona to expedite his arrival this winter. This option is being closely examined, especially with a grueling schedule and an ever-filling injury list.
The transfer window hasn’t even started… but in Paris, things are already buzzing. Without Hakimi at least until January or February, Eric Garcia could become PSG’s backup solution.
