Paris Saint-Germain are closing in on a major goalkeeping shake-up — Lucas Chevalier is expected to join the club very soon!
With contract talks with Gianluigi Donnarumma going nowhere, PSG have turned up the heat to land the 23-year-old Lille keeper. Le Parisien says Luis Enrique is all-in, having already had a direct chat with Chevalier.
Luis Campos, the man who first brought him to Lille, is pushing hard to wrap up the deal.
Deal nearly done
Lille is reportedly asking just over €40M, and now Foot Mercato claims there’s already a verbal agreement between both clubs. Chevalier could even pass his medical this week (Sacha Tavolieri).
The aim? Get him signed before August 6 and possibly throw him straight into the UEFA Super Cup vs. Tottenham on August 13.
Meanwhile, Donnarumma’s future is hanging by a thread. PSG has made it clear: extend your deal or make way. And with Chevalier on the doorstep, the message couldn’t be louder.
