Real Madrid’s presidential campaign is starting to look like a blockbuster transfer window. After promises involving José Mourinho, Ibrahima Konaté, and numerous rumors surrounding Erling Haaland and Rodri, Florentino Pérez has dropped another bombshell.
The Madrid president claims he will submit a record-breaking €150 million offer next Tuesday to sign a player currently starring for one of Europe’s biggest clubs.
PSG Midfielders Linked to Madrid
The identity of the mystery player was expected to be revealed, but Pérez kept everyone guessing. “On Tuesday, I will make an offer to a major Champions League club for a great player who would become the most expensive signing in Real Madrid’s history,” he told Horizonte.
The Spanish executive also ruled out several names. “It’s not Olise. It’s not Doku, nor Haaland. And it’s not a Premier League player,” he clarified, narrowing the list of possible targets.
Spanish media quickly began speculating about the mystery star. Two names have emerged repeatedly: Vitinha and João Neves. Both Portuguese internationals have become world-class performers at PSG and are among the most highly rated midfielders in Europe.
However, Paris Saint-Germain have no intention of selling either player, with both tied to long-term contracts. A third name has also gained traction in recent hours: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia. According to reports in Spain, Florentino Pérez views the Georgian winger as a potential successor to Cristiano Ronaldo’s legacy at Real Madrid.
