Didier Deschamps’ journey as head coach of the French national team is coming to an end. His contract expires after the 2026 World Cup, and he is set to leave his position once the tournament concludes. However, the France manager still does not know what the next chapter of his career will look like.

Deschamps is keeping everyone guessing about his future. Speaking to Ouest-France, the 57-year-old admitted that he has not yet made any decisions regarding his post-France career. One thing is clear, though: he has no intention of leaving the football world behind.

Didier Deschamps has not ruled out taking a break after the World Cup, but he still sees himself remaining involved in football in one way or another. “What I do know is that I will stay in football. There are different roles,” he explained, joking that he has no plans to become a “musician, dancer, or pastry chef.”

For now, the French manager prefers to focus entirely on his final objective with Les Bleus: delivering a successful 2026 World Cup campaign before turning his attention to the next challenge of his career.
