While Real Madrid remain untouchable with six titles, ahead of Barcelona and AC Milan (five each), PSG become the first French club to win the trophy — an achievement OM never had the chance to attempt, having been denied their Super Cup due to a European ban.

OM never played the supercup

In 1993, just days after winning the Champions League, OM were caught in the VA-OM corruption scandal, leading to their exclusion from European competitions and the loss of their French league title. The following season, despite finishing second in Division 1, they were administratively relegated to Division 2, where they remained for two years before returning to the top flight in 1996.
