Paris Saint-Germain are gearing up for a packed and pivotal August. With just three weeks of rest after a demanding season, the players will quickly dive back into action with a tight schedule featuring preseason prep, a European final, and the start of Ligue 1.
The squad is due back at the PSG Campus on August 4 for medical tests, before their first full training session on August 5 under Luis Enrique. Things get serious fast: the UEFA Super Cup against Tottenham is set for August 13 in Udine, Italy — a chance to lift another major trophy.
PSG know that every misstep will be magnified
Then begins the domestic campaign. PSG travel to Nantes for their Ligue 1 opener on August 17 (8:45 p.m.), followed by their first home match against Angers on August 22, where fans at the Parc des Princes will also get to see the club’s UEFA Champions League trophy presented live for the first time.
On August 28, PSG will learn their group stage opponents in the Champions League draw, before closing out the month with a trip to Toulouse on August 30 (9:05 p.m.).
An international break looms in early September, but by then, the tone for the season will already be set. PSG know that every misstep will be magnified. With trophies on the line and expectations higher than ever, August could define what’s to come.
