Marco Verratti is heading back to where it all began. Months after leaving PSG, the Italian midfielder is preparing for life after football — and he’s doing it at his boyhood club, Pescara.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Verratti has purchased 50% of the club’s shares, giving him a seat on the board via a personal representative. The deal hasn’t been officially announced yet, but final details are being sorted, with the aim of completing everything before the new Serie B season kicks off.
Back to the club that launched his career
Verratti, who was seen in the stands during Pescara’s promotion-clinching match, has always remained close to the club that launched his career. Despite his current spell in Qatar with Al-Duhail, the midfielder has been planning this return quietly.
His mission: to help rebuild and lead Pescara into a new era — off the pitch, but with the same passion that defined his playing career.
