“Bad Teammate”: Real Madrid Reportedly Turns on Kylian Mbappé

Despite solid statistics, Kylian Mbappé is reportedly not unanimously appreciated at Real Madrid. Worse still, internal tensions are said to be very real. At least, that is the version shared by a Spanish journalist.

Things are not going well for Mbappé at Real Madrid. The player has been criticized in recent days. Injured and recovering, he has been “enjoying” life somewhat with his new girlfriend. Fans are growing irritated seeing him casually walking out of restaurants without any visible discomfort. The captain of the French national team is expected to return to action with Real Madrid in mid-May.

In a tense context, with the club heading toward a trophyless season, the Frenchman is also reportedly under scrutiny from the technical staff. According to journalist Rodra, Mbappé has been labeled a “bad player” and even a “bad teammate.” A very strong statement.

Growing criticism and internal tensions at Real Madrid

The discomfort reportedly goes even further. The forward is said to have left the pitch mocking the staff alongside a teammate, before “challenging the coach and causing a scene over an issue with a staff member” during a training session. The atmosphere is clearly strained.

Criticism is not only coming from Spain. Speaking on RMC, Jérôme Rothen did not hold back against the former Paris player: “When you look at the players around him today, you can’t ask Kylian Mbappé to be the technical leader. He shouldn’t be the attacking leader. We need to play to his strengths. We’re lucky to have a very efficient player who scores a lot of goals”.

“That’s what he’s there for. But there needs to be a structure built around him. When you see Dembélé and Olise… when they touch the ball, it’s incredible! I’m not ashamed to say that what Dembélé and Olise do, Mbappé is not capable of doing.” Currently injured, Mbappé is expected to return before the end of the season, but behind the scenes, the situation already seems highly volatile.
