Wydad Casablanca Dreams of Cristiano Ronaldo for Club World Cup ? Not Really, But the Buzz Is On.

Wydad Athletic Club of Casablanca, qualified for the Club World Cup, has sparked rumors of a potential Cristiano Ronaldo transfer. According to Marca, the Moroccan club was reportedly considering signing the five-time Ballon d’Or winner for the competition, which will take place from June 14 to July 13 in the United States.

The club even played with the rumor on its social media, posting a video with a Portuguese flag. However, it turned out to be a promotional video for a friendly match against FC Porto.

Cristiano Ronaldo, whose contract with Al-Nassr is set to expire, has yet to sign an extension. FIFA hopes for his participation in the Club World Cup, as his presence would significantly boost the event’s media exposure. Wydad will begin their campaign on June 18 against Manchester City, before facing Juventus and Al Ain.
