Cristiano Ronaldo and Al Nassr are making waves in Austria — quite literally. While on pre-season training camp in Saalfelden, the Portuguese superstar caused a stir by forcing Hannover 96 to vacate their main training pitch.
To ensure optimal conditions for CR7 and his Saudi club, the German second-division side had to relocate their training sessions to a local sports school. No hard feelings from Hannover, though. Their coach, Christian Titz, said the new facilities were “excellent”.

But it’s not just about grass and goals. Ronaldo is surrounded by a full-blown security operation. According to Onside, the agency in charge of Al Nassr’s camp, the five-time Ballon d’Or winner is protected by 16 bodyguards. His influence at the club is growing stronger with the arrival of Jorge Jesus as head coach — a move reportedly pushed by Ronaldo himself. “Without Cristiano, I wouldn’t be here,” Jesus admitted.
Adding to his already massive influence, Ronaldo recently signed the most lucrative contract in football history, estimated at €548,000 per day. Now, after conquering Europe, he has one clear mission: win the Saudi Pro League — a title that has eluded him since joining Al Nassr in 2023.
