The Erling Haaland to Real Madrid saga is far from over. And this time, a particularly well-informed voice has reignited the speculation.
Haaland appears to be edging closer to Real Madrid… but very, very slowly. According to Hans-Joachim Watzke, former Borussia Dortmund executive who worked closely with the Norwegian striker for several years, the Manchester City star still dreams of one day wearing the famous white shirt.
Haaland’s Long-Term Real Madrid Dream
“He admires Real Madrid and would like to play there in the future,” Watzke told Spanish newspaper AS. A statement that is likely to generate plenty of discussion across Spain and beyond.
However, the German executive believes such a move is not imminent. In his view, Haaland will remain at Manchester City next season before potentially considering a transfer in two or three years.
The comments will only add fuel to the ongoing rumors surrounding one of world football’s biggest stars. In Madrid, many already see Haaland as the future leader of the club’s attack and a natural successor to the next generation of Galácticos.
