During a recent appearance on the show “Triple Der Hagedorn Fußballtalk” on Sky Sports, Oliver Kahn, alongside Roman Weidenfeller, did not hide his admiration for the 24-year-old star.

According to Kahn, Olise’s recent performances already place him among the favorites for football’s highest individual honor. “When you see what he’s been doing in recent weeks, he’s clearly on track for the Ballon d’Or,” he stated, highlighting his impact in the Champions League.

He recalled the 2002 Ballon d’Or ceremony, where he attended believing he would win, only for the trophy to be awarded to Ronaldo. “I thought I had won (laughs)! I was invited, I said to myself, ‘That’s it, it’s mine,’ then I discovered the result… I was a bit frustrated,” he admitted.
