Nothing seems to stop John Textor. Dismissed from the management of Olympique Lyonnais last June and increasingly contested at Botafogo, the American businessman wants to bounce back… in the Premier League.
John Textor has definitively turned the page on OL. Fired unceremoniously, the investor is now looking towards the Premier League. According to information from The Athletic, he has made a colossal offer of €458 million to buy Wolverhampton!
At 60 years old, the head of Eagle Football sees the Wolves as an ideal club to strengthen his network. He particularly appreciates their recruitment strategy, focused on Portuguese and South American talents, a philosophy that could perfectly complement that of Botafogo.
But Textor’s ambitions clash with reality. His financial difficulties in Lyon and tensions with his lenders could make such an operation difficult to realize.
The American billionaire may therefore reconsider his plans and turn to a more accessible project in the Championship, with leads already mentioned regarding Charlton, Derby County, QPR, Sheffield Wednesday, or even Watford. Watch out Premier League, the chaotic Textor is coming… and he will cause some damage.
