Kylian Mbappé has been hospitalised after suffering from several days of persistent fever, the club confirmed on Thursday. What was initially seen as a precautionary absence from training has now turned into a more serious concern.
Real Madrid confirms gastroenteritis
Mbappé missed training earlier this week, with manager Xabi Alonso initially attributing it to heat-related fatigue. However, as the fever persisted, medical staff opted to isolate the forward and conduct further tests.
In an official statement, Real Madrid announced: “Kylian Mbappé is suffering from acute gastroenteritis and has been hospitalised to undergo medical examinations and receive appropriate treatment.”
