Author of a standout performance, Endrick shone in Olympique Lyonnais’ victory on the pitch of Paris Saint-Germain (2-1), closing the 30th matchday of Ligue 1.
Endrick left his mark on PSG/Lyon. The young Brazilian forward, who opened the scoring, did not hide his satisfaction after the match. “It was a very important game for me, I’m very happy. For my goal, for the assist and for everything else. I’m very happy here”.
“And now, we focus on the next match against Auxerre,” said the player on loan from Real Madrid in French to Ligue 1+, before switching to Spanish. “My goal? I’m very happy with it. I thought Afonso wanted to shoot, but I sensed the opportunity and followed the play, unleashing a powerful strike. This goal really helped the team and I’m very happy about it.”
“There is no issue with the coach”
Back in the starting lineup after beginning on the bench against Lorient, Endrick also spoke about managing this more difficult period, without ever questioning the decisions of his coach Paulo Fonseca. “There is no issue with the coach. He spoke to me, and I am never angry with him because I know he has choices to make. I focus on my work and I don’t get upset”.
“I respond on the pitch and, against Lorient, I responded in the second half. I did my best and provided an assist. I wasn’t far from scoring, and Corentin Tolisso’s goal came from one of my shots,” the Lyon player recalled.
