Manchester City will be without Rodri until at least mid-September. Pep Guardiola confirmed that the Spanish midfielder, injured against Al Hilal, will not return before the end of the first international break.

“He’s getting better, but he picked up a big injury in the last match against Al Hilal,” said Guardiola. “He’s been training better these past few days. He might get some minutes early on, but the most important thing is that he’s pain-free — we don’t want a Rodri who gets injured again.”
