Messi’s Sidekick Sergio Busquets Announces Retirement

Sergio Busquets, the 37-year-old midfielder for Inter Miami, has announced his retirement from professional football at the end of the MLS season.

In a heartfelt video, Busquets stated, “It’s time to say goodbye to my professional football career. I’ve lived this dream for almost 20 years. I’m leaving happy, proud, and grateful,” adding, “every end is a new beginning.”

A true legend of FC Barcelona from 2008 to 2023, Busquets enjoyed an illustrious career, winning 9 La Liga titles, 3 Champions League trophies, and numerous other accolades. He also played a vital role in Spain’s national team, helping secure the World Cup in 2010 and the European Championship in 2012.
