Mikel Arteta has already fired the first shots ahead of the Champions League final against Arsenal. During the celebrations for Arsenal’s 14th English league title, the Spanish manager sent a very strong message to both his players and the London supporters.
In a video leaked on social media through several Gunners fan accounts, Arteta can be seen addressing a crowd in full celebration mode. And the Arsenal coach left absolutely no doubt about his ambitions for Saturday in Budapest.
Arteta Sends a Strong Warning Before the Final
“On Saturday, we will be champions of Europe,” the former midfielder declared with huge confidence in front of ecstatic supporters.
Freshly crowned English champions just days earlier, Arsenal are now dreaming of a historic double with what would be the first Champions League title in the club’s history. The Gunners have never won Europe’s most prestigious competition.

The only Champions League final ever played by the North London club dates back to 2006, when they suffered a painful 2-1 defeat against Barcelona. Twenty years later, Arsenal want to erase that memory at last… but first they must take down reigning European champions PSG. The showdown is set for Saturday at 6 p.m. at the Puskás Aréna in Budapest in what promises to be an explosive final between Mikel Arteta’s men and Luis Enrique’s side.
