Good news for PSG. Injured during the Champions League draw against Newcastle (1-1) and forced to leave the pitch, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia has been diagnosed with a right ankle sprain that is not serious.

While several media outlets initially suggested an absence close to two weeks, Paris Saint-Germain moved quickly to reassure fans. In its official medical update, the club announced a shorter recovery period of 8 to 10 days.

A Shorter Layoff Than Expected

“The medical update this Thursday, January 29, concerns Kvicha Kvaratskhelia. After suffering a right ankle sprain during the match against Newcastle, Kvicha Kvaratskhelia will be unavailable for between 8 and 10 days,” the Parisian club stated.
