Two weeks before the kickoff of “his” AFCON, one of Morocco’s burning questions has resurfaced: will Achraf Hakimi really be ready?
Injured in the ankle against Bayern in early November, the PSG fullback underwent a strict protocol, intensive treatment in Spain, then rehabilitation in Poissy.
And despite his iron determination, despite his reassuring statements, despite his desire to play the first match against Comoros on December 21… Hakimi will not be at 100%. PSG says so, according to L’Équipe.
And Paris is not mincing its words: it’s impossible to imagine the player at full capacity for the opening of the tournament. Too early, too risky.
Suspense for Hakimi
While Morocco hopes for a miracle, Paris trembles for another reason: a relapse would be catastrophic for the club, which has a massive second half of the season ahead. AFCON 2025 is already opening with huge suspense… and a red alert surrounding the star of the Atlas Lions.
