Brazil’s head coach Carlo Ancelotti has been very clear about his selection criteria for the 2026 World Cup. For him, only players at 100% fitness will make the squad. And that applies to everyone — even the stars.

No special status in the Seleção. Much like at PSG, Carlo Ancelotti won’t be giving any favors, not even to the big names. Only fully ready players will go to the World Cup. That includes Neymar, but also Vinicius.

“There are many highquality players and I need to choose those who are at 100%. It’s not just about Neymar, it applies to Vinicius too. If Vinicius is at 90%, I’ll call up another player who is at 100%,” said Carlo Ancelotti.
