Bad news for Paris Saint-Germain and for Quentin Ndjantou. The versatile 18-year-old midfielder, who has made 14 appearances and scored one goal in all competitions this season, will be forced to stay away from the pitch for several weeks.
The verdict is in, and it is not good for Quentin Ndjantou. Suffering a hamstring injury during the Coupe de France round of 32 win against Vendée Fontenay (4-0) on Saturday, the young Parisian underwent further medical examinations.
Serious hamstring injury confirmed
According to Le Parisien, the tests revealed a grade 3 injury, which means an estimated absence of between six and eight weeks.
A real setback for Ndjantou, who had been gradually establishing himself in the rotation and earning increasing playing time under Luis Enrique. His absence comes at a bad time, as the player seemed to have gained his coach’s trust in recent weeks.
