If Paris Saint-Germain defeat Arsenal FC in the Champions League final on Saturday in Budapest, the club could offer its supporters a unique celebration through the streets of the French capital.
According to information from Le Parisien, the PSG players are not expected to parade aboard an open-top bus, as is traditionally the case during major sporting celebrations. Instead, Ousmane Dembélé, Marquinhos, Désiré Doué and their teammates could complete part of the route on foot, allowing them to be much closer to the fans.
A Historic Celebration Beneath the Eiffel Tower
The proposed route would begin at the Joffre Esplanade near the École Militaire and continue to Place Rueff, located opposite the Eiffel Tower. Between 80,000 and 100,000 people are expected around the Champ-de-Mars to witness what could be a historic moment and accompany the champions throughout the procession.
A large stage would also be installed at Place Rueff, where the players could present the trophy to supporters. A pyrotechnic display is reportedly planned as part of the celebrations, adding to the atmosphere of the event.
With the Eiffel Tower providing a spectacular backdrop, Paris is preparing for an extraordinary celebration should PSG win the first Champions League title in the club’s history. The club and the City of Paris have been working for several days on organizing an event that could bring together tens of thousands of people in the heart of the capital.
