Paris Saint-Germain’s transfer window has still not really started in terms of arrivals. Three weeks after the official opening of the market in France, the capital club has yet to announce a single signing. But in the opposite direction, Paris is already moving very quickly.
After Gonçalo Ramos, Kang-in Lee is now dangerously close to the exit door. PSG are beginning their major summer clear-out with a clear idea in mind: sell smartly before accelerating on their own transfer targets.
Kang-in Lee Edges Closer to Atlético Madrid
The first major move of the early transfer window obviously remains Gonçalo Ramos. The Portuguese supersub has joined AC Milan for a fee estimated between €70 million and €74 million, excluding bonuses. It is a huge sale for Paris, quite simply the second-biggest in the club’s history.
And PSG could quickly follow that up with another strong piece of business. According to Fabrizio Romano, the agreement between Paris and Atlético Madrid for Kang-in Lee is now in its final stages. The last details are being sorted out, and the Spanish club wants to complete the South Korean’s arrival as quickly as possible.
The deal could bring PSG between €30 million and €35 million. It would be a very good operation for Paris, who signed Kang-in Lee in 2023 for around €22 million excluding bonuses. Two years later, the capital club could therefore make an interesting profit on a player who never truly managed to become indispensable.
