It’s done: Carlo Ancelotti will take charge of the Brazilian national team. After weeks of intense negotiations, the Brazilian Football Federation officially announced the Italian legend’s appointment on Monday.

The most decorated coach in football history will lead the Seleção until the 2026 World Cup, with his debut set for the June qualifiers against Ecuador (June 6) and Paraguay (June 11).

In a bold statement, the CBF declared: “Bringing Carlo Ancelotti to lead Brazil is more than a strategic move. It’s a message to the world: we want to return to the top step of the podium.”
