Kylian Mbappé’s Club World Cup campaign is off to a rocky start — and his health scare has had real consequences.
According to Marca, the Real Madrid forward has lost between 4 and 5 kilograms after suffering from a severe gastroenteritis at the beginning of the tournament. At his usual playing weight of around 75 kg (165 lbs), that drop is significant.
Mbappé missed the games against Al-Hilal (1–1) and Pachuca (3–1), and remains a doubt for Friday’s clash with Salzburg. Real Madrid recently shared images of the French star on social media, where he appears visibly thinner.
