Still recovering from a severe bout of gastroenteritis, Kylian Mbappé will miss Real Madrid’s final Club World Cup group stage match against RB Salzburg.
Return to training, but not yet match fit
Despite rejoining full training on Wednesday, the medical staff has decided not to risk him. According to Spanish reports, Mbappé lost around 5kg, a significant drop for a player whose ideal playing weight hovers near 75kg.
With high temperatures and intense humidity at the tournament, Real Madrid is taking no chances. Coach Xabi Alonso will have to wait a little longer before unleashing his new star.
