In recent hours, Vinícius Júnior has taken to Instagram to publicly apologize to Virgínia Fonseca following the end of their relationship.
The Real Madrid forward did not directly mention the reasons behind his statement but admitted: “Even if we were not officially in a relationship, there was a sincere connection.”
He continued: “Recently, I went through a situation that made me reflect and recognize that certain attitudes did not represent the person I wanted to be, nor the type of relationship I wanted to build. I’m not ashamed to admit that I was negligent, that I did not react in the best possible way, and that I disappointed her. That’s why I want to apologize publicly, with an open heart, because I’ve understood that a true relationship can only exist with respect, trust, and transparency.”
“An incredible woman”
Vinícius praised Virgínia as “an incredible woman, an admirable mother, and someone for whom I have immense respect.”
The Brazilian international said he now wants to start fresh, underlining that “respect, trust, and transparency” are essential foundations for any relationship.
Currently in Seoul with the Brazilian national team, Vinícius is navigating a delicate moment both personally and professionally. Virgínia Fonseca has not yet commented.
