Young striker Robinho Jr. has initiated legal proceedings against Neymar, accusing him of insults and physical aggression during training, and hinting at a possible contract termination, according to Globo Esporte.
Representatives of Robinho Jr. have sent an extrajudicial notice to Santos FC to report an incident involving Neymar during a training session on Sunday. The 18-year-old player is demanding urgent action and raising concerns about his safety within the club.
Allegations of Violence Spark Internal Investigation
According to the document, the young forward accuses Neymar of verbal abuse, a “rasteira” (trip), and a slap. He is requesting the opening of an internal investigation, access to training footage, an official statement, and a meeting within 48 hours to discuss a potential contract termination.
Robinho Jr.’s camp warns that without a swift response, the case could be taken to court for breach of trust and failure to ensure workplace safety, with potential claims for compensation.
For its part, the club claims it has already launched an internal investigation through its legal department. Internally, the incident was initially defused following an apology from Neymar, who is considered close to the young player. The altercation reportedly occurred during an intense training session at the CT Rei Pelé center after a draw against Palmeiras, when Neymar reacted poorly after being dribbled past, leading to a physical confrontation that quickly escalated into a legal and media matter.
