It’s the moment football fans have been waiting for: Kylian Mbappé will face Paris Saint-Germain for the first time since his departure. Real Madrid has booked its spot in the Club World Cup semifinals with a thrilling 3–2 win over Borussia Dortmund in New York.
Gonzalo (10′) and Fran Garcia (20′) fired the Merengues into an early lead. Then, in a dramatic finale, Mbappé – brought on in the 67th minute – scored his first goal of the tournament (90’+4), just seconds after Beier had pulled one back for Dortmund (90’+3).
Despite a late penalty converted by Guirassy (90’+8), Real held firm to seal the win. Now, all eyes turn to Wednesday’s blockbuster semifinal: PSG vs Real Madrid – Mbappé vs his former team.
First Reunion, One Year Later
This will be Mbappé’s first match against PSG since leaving the club last summer. Every move, every touch, every reaction will be scrutinized. One thing’s for sure – there’s no room for mercy.
