Despite growing speculation about a potential exit, Marc-André ter Stegen is not heading to Inter Milan.
The 33-year-old goalkeeper, reportedly on Barcelona’s transfer list, had been linked with a move to Serie A — but those rumors have now been denied.
Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed on Saturday that there have been no contacts between Inter and Barça, nor between the Italian club and Ter Stegen himself.
The German international, who missed much of last season with a serious knee injury, has expressed his desire to remain at Barça. However, with competition for the No. 1 spot heating up, questions remain about whether he’ll be content sitting on the bench.
